 Next Adoption Event
The next Second Chance adoption day is on Saturday, February 11, at Petco in Roseville (North of Hwy 36 off Fairview Avenue). A variety of cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies will be available for adoption between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All are FeLV & FIV or heartworm negative, spayed or neutered, distemper vaccinated and dewormed. (Cats and dogs can also be adopted out of their foster homes 7 days a week.) See Pet List.

 Pause 4 Paws Event
Second Chance was honored to be a part of the first annual Pause 4 Paws' fundraising event on October 13 at the Medina Entertainment Center. The event was the hard work of many people but, especially, three amazing women (Jill, Kristin and Erica). The night benefited several animal rescue organizations in Minnesota, including Second Chance. The Emcees were KFAN's Mike Morris, Cory Cove, Chris Hawkey and Paul Lambert. Glen Fladaboe was the auctioneer for the great live auction items, and the silent auction had a huge variety of human and animal items. Talented musician Tim Mahoney entertained the attendees, and there were scrumptious appetizers and desserts by Chef Trent. Nancy Minion, President of Second Chance, gave a short presentation about the need for donations to cover veterinary care expenses for the hundreds of animals rescued and in need to help.

A Song “For Our Four Legged Friends”
Michael Monroe, an Emmy award winning recording artist, composed a song “For Our Four Legged Friends”. He wrote and recorded the song after talking with Nancy Minion, President of Second Chance, and learning of the plight of dogs and cats in inhumane breeding facilities in MN. The CD case highlights a few of the animals Second Chance has rescued. To hear part of the song, click here.
A $5.00 donation is requested which will go towards the rescue and care of other dogs and cats needing help. The CDs are available at Second Chance events.
